Kenyan Coffee Beans

Kenyan coffee is bold and bright with a rich, fragrant aroma. With floral and fruity undertones, it is often said to have deeper notes and a wine-like acidity. Kenyan coffee is consistently rich with flavours of berry and cocoa and an intense depth. It generally has a fuller body and is considered to be some of the best coffee in the world.

Kenyan coffee is often grown in the East African mountainous regions including Mount Kenya, the Aberdare Range, Kisii, Nyanza, Bungoma, Nakuru and Kericho. There are also smaller levels of production in the Eastern and coastal regions of Machakos and the Taita hills. The unique combination of acidic, volcanic soil, climate and altitude all contribute to the bright, lively and complex flavours Kenyan coffee is known for. In Kenya, coffee beans are grown at 1,400 – 2,000m above sea level where the average rainfall is around 900–1200mm per year and there are optimum growing temperatures of 15 to 24°C. The climate and humidity levels provide excellent conditions for growing coffee beans.

Our Kenyan coffee beans arrive as green coffee and are roasted at our Liverpool HQ into a delightful light to medium roast. We only roast Arabica coffee beans because they’re the best, so you won’t find any Robusta or dark roast coffee beans at Neighbourhood Coffee. You can either buy Kenyan coffee beans as whole beans or ground coffee and we can grind it to suit your brewing method.

So, why not check out our range of Kenyan coffee beans and buy yours now?
